Laboratory Introduction
The research group is led by Professor Chenye Wu, who is an Assistant Professor, Assistant Dean, and Presidential Young Scholar at the School of Science and Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Professor Wu received his Ph.D. from Tsinghua University in 2013 under the supervision of Turing Award winner Professor Andrew Chi-Chih Yao. Afterward, he conducted postdoctoral research at Carnegie Mellon University, the University of California, Berkeley, and ETH Zurich. Upon returning to China, he established a research group at the Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences, Tsinghua University. In 2020, he joined CUHK-Shenzhen. The group’s current research focuses on AI+Energy and Smart Energy Systems.

Job Description
Applicants should have:
1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Automation, Energy Science, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or other related fields, with a strong academic background;
2. Solid knowledge in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data analysis, optimization theory, etc.; candidates with relevant project or research experience are preferred;
3. Proficient programming skills, familiarity with commonly used programming languages such as Python, Matlab, C/C++, etc.; experience in energy system modeling or data-driven energy management is a plus;
4. Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities, responsibility, and good team collaboration and communication skills;
5. Excellent written and spoken Chinese and English skills, with the ability to read academic literature and write scientific reports and papers.
Job Duties include:
1. Assist the research group with scientific research related to AI+Energy and smart energy systems, including data collection, algorithm design, model development, and experimentation;
2. Assist in writing academic papers, project reports, and application materials, and participate in academic conferences and exchanges;
3. Participate in the daily management of research projects and teamwork within the group, assisting in organizing academic activities and seminars;
4. Complete other research-related and auxiliary tasks assigned by the supervisor.
