About Candidate

Nice to meet you,

My name is Alisa Winkler, I am from Germany and 27 years old.  I hold a Bachelor’s degree from Eberhard Karls University Tübingen, where I majored in Sinology and minored in Korean Studies. My academic background has provided me with a solid foundation in East Asian languages and cultures, enhancing my ability to connect with and understand my students` diverse backgrounds.

Since October 2023, I have been working as an Overseas Representative and Content Creator for Asia Hope Camp Organization in Seoul. In this role, I have honed my skills in administration and customer service, managing various aspects of the English department, including correspondence, application management, and supervision of interns and trainees. My responsibilities also extended to event management, webpage design, and social media content creation. This experience has equipped me with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, as well as proficiency in tools such as Adobe Premier Pro, Microsoft Office Suit, G Suite, Canva, and various web management platforms.

Prior to this, I served as a Tutor with the Association for Learning Support in Tubingen from November 2021 to November 2023. There, I was dedicated to making principles and grammar comprehensible to children with a migration background, promoting their written and oral language skills, and assisting with their integration into German society. This role refined my teaching strategies and reinforced my commitment to helping students achieve their full potential. I pursued a teaching degree for special school at University Koblenz-Landau for six semesters, where I specialized in special education. My academic background has equipped me with a deep understanding of educational methodologies and effective communication skills.

Furthermore, my work with physically and mentally impaired children at Peter Caesar School and Lebenshilfe in Tubingen has developed my adaptability, communication skills, ability to plan individualized lessons and my skill to developed strategies to promote independence and social competence. My volunteer experience as a supervisor at Hattgenstein Youth Recreation Center has also instilled in me a strong sense of teamwork, flexibility, and program coordination.

I am particularly drawn to teaching in China because of my academic focus on Chinese Studies and my desire to immerse myself further in Chinese culture. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my diverse skill set and passion for education, where I can contribute to the academic and personal growth of my students.

Warm regards,
Alisa Winkler
