BASIS International School Hangzhou is one of the priority projects overseen by Jianggan District Government in Hangzhou. The campus is located at the heart of Qianjiang New Town, next to where the Grand Canal meets the Qiantang River. The area is known as the central business district of Hangzhou, featuring high-rise buildings, commercial centers, and modern landmarks. The campus covers an area of 19,600 square meters and a building area of 23,667 square meters, including a 5,000-square-meter sports field, a 200-meter running track, a soccer field, volleyball courts, and an 800-square-meter gym.
Opened in August 2018, BASIS International School Hangzhou can serve up to 1,200 students from PreK-1 to Grade 12. In its founding year, BASIS International School Hangzhou was accredited by AdvancED and authorized by the College Board as an AP and PSAT test center, later an SAT test center in the 2019-20 school year.
