Chengdu Neusoft Institute of Information (成都东软学院, website) is a privately-run institution of higher learning established with the approval of the Ministry of Education and sponsored by Neusoft. In 2003, approved by the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, Chengdu Neusoft Vocational College of Information Technology was established to carry out vocational education; in 2003, the school was identified by the Ministry of Education as one of the first 35 national model software vocational and technical colleges. In 2011, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and was renamed as Chengdu Neusoft Institute, becoming the first independent private undergraduate institution of higher learning in Sichuan Province. The school is located in the world natural and cultural heritage-Dujiangyan and Qingchengshan National 5A Grade Scenic Area. It covers an area of about 400,000 square meters and currently has more than 10,000 students. The school actively carries out innovation and entrepreneurship education. In 2005, it established the Student Office & Venture Office (SOVO) to integrate innovation and entrepreneurship education into the entire process of talent training.
