Chizhou Vocational and Technical College (池州职业技术学院, website) is a public full-time ordinary higher education institution approved by the Provincial People’s Government in July 2002, an exemplary higher vocational college in Anhui Province, and the first batch of Anhui higher vocational teaching reform pilot schools. Chizhou Vocational and Technical College has a long history of running a school. Its predecessors, the Chizhou Normal School and the Chizhou Agricultural School, were both established in 1917. It has a history of more than 100 years and has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for the country. The school is now located in Chizhou, China’s first eco-economic demonstration area, China’s outstanding tourist city, national garden city, historical and cultural city in Anhui Province, and national sponge city construction pilot city. The city has a beautiful urban environment, rich cultural heritage, and convenient transportation. The school covers an area of more than 770 acres, with a construction area of 250,000 square meters. Among them, the teaching and administrative space was 108,000 square meters, and the total value of teaching equipment was 110 million yuan. Has a library, swimming pool, gymnasium, standard track and field stadium and other facilities. The campus environment is beautiful and tidy, with complete teaching and living facilities.

Chizhou Vocational and Technical College has a strong faculty, with 356 full-time and part-time teachers, including 10 professors, associate professors, and more than 90 industry experts. The proportion of “dual teacher” teachers is over 80%. At present, our school has a total of 45 majors, which cover 10 major categories: electronic information, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery, civil construction, equipment manufacturing, transportation, medicine and health, finance and commerce, tourism, culture and arts, education and sports. There are more than 8,500 students. The school has 94 on-site experimental training rooms and more than 200 off-site practical training bases, which fully meet the needs of students’ practical ability training. The school has a national-level vocational skills appraisal institute, which has effectively promoted the implementation of the “double certificate”. The school has also cooperated with nearly a hundred well-known enterprises and institutions in and outside the province to carry out industry-university-research cooperation and establish a mechanism for co-education.

Chizhou Vocational and Technical College adheres to the training goals of higher vocational education, adheres to employment orientation, broadens employment channels, provides entrepreneurial support, and comprehensively provides employment and entrepreneurship guidance and service work. The graduate employment rate has remained above 96% and has been stable.
