Guangxi Economic and Trade Vocational Institute (广西工商职业技术学院, website) is a state-run full-time general college established under the approval of the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is located in Nanning, the capital of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and is affiliated to the Food and Materials Reserve Bureau of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The college was founded in 1953. Since the establishment of the school, the salary has been passed down, and the string songs have been constantly changing. The college was formerly known as the Guangxi Grain Cadre Training Course, the Guangxi Grain Cadre School, the Guangxi Grain School, and the Guangxi Trade and Economic School (determined as a national key technical secondary school in 1994). The other foundation of the college is the Guangxi Litang Grain Technician School, Guangxi Grain Technician School, and Guangxi Economic and Trade Technician School, which were established in 1978 (determined as a provincial and ministerial key technical school). In June 2004, Guangxi Economic and Trade Technical School and Guangxi Economic and Trade School merged and were upgraded to form Guangxi Vocational College of Industry and Trade, which was renamed in March 2006—Guangxi Vocational and Technical College of Industry and Commerce.

Guangxi Economic and Trade Vocational Institute currently has 4 campuses including Pengfei, Zhongyao, Xincun and Wuming, covering an area of more than 1,400 mu. Among them, the Pengfei campus is located at No. 15 Pengfei Road, Xixiangtang District, Nanning City, and covers an area of 118 acres. The Zhongyao campus is located at 15 Zhongyao Road, Xixiangtang District, Nanning, and covers an area of 72.82 acres; Xincun Campus is located at No. 8 Xincun Road, Xixiangtang District, Nanning City, and covers an area of 32.22 acres. Wuming Campus is located at the northeast of the intersection of Hongling Avenue and Beiyuan Road, Wuming District, Nanning City. The planned net land area is 1188.12 acres. There are teaching buildings, comprehensive training buildings, libraries, cultural and sports halls, track and field stadiums, student dormitory buildings and comprehensive cafeterias. The school building covers an area of 247,600 square meters (among which, the building area of the school building under construction is 23,600 square meters, mainly in Wuming Campus), with 607,000 books.

Guangxi Economic and Trade Vocational Institute currently has 381 in-service faculty members, including 326 full-time teachers.
