Introduction to Guizhou University of Engineering Science

Guizhou University of Engineering Science (贵州工程应用技术学院, website) has gone through periods such as Guizhou Provincial Bijie Teachers School, Bijie Semi-agricultural and Normal School, Bijie Teachers College, and so on. In 1993, the Ministry of Education named it Bijie Teachers College. In March 2005, Bijie Teachers College and Bijie Education College merged to form Bijie College, which became a full-time ordinary undergraduate college. In May 2014, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Bijie College was renamed Guizhou Engineering and Application College.

Guizhou University of Engineering Science covers an area of more than 1,300 acres, with a total value of more than 120 million teaching and scientific research equipment, 1.0338 million printed books, 1.284 million electronic books, and 20 Chinese and foreign databases. The school has 13 teaching colleges, 1 teaching department, and 52 undergraduate majors, covering 9 disciplines including engineering, science, education, literature, management, and art. There are 11,578 full-time students from 15 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country. There are 879 faculty members, including 78 doctors, 394 masters, 74 senior titles, and 284 deputy senior titles.
