Heilongjiang Institute of Technology (黑龙江工程学院, website) is located in Harbin, a beautiful northern city. The school was founded in 1952 and was formerly the Heilongjiang Communications College affiliated to the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Communications and the Harbin Engineering College affiliated to the former Ministry of Metallurgy. In March 2000, after the approval of the Ministry of Education, the merger was renamed Heilongjiang Institute of Technology, which is a provincial full-time ordinary undergraduate college with a multi-disciplinary coordinated development.
