Henan University of Urban Construction (河南城建学院, website) is the only provincial undergraduate university in Henan Province that has a coordinated multidisciplinary development featuring engineering and urban construction. It is also one of the only two undergraduate universities named “urban construction” in China. The school is located in Xincheng District, Pingdingshan City, an excellent tourist city and garden city in China. It faces Baigui Lake in the south and Daxiang Mountain in the north.

The predecessor of Henan University of Urban Construction was the Pingdingshan Urban Construction Environmental Protection School founded in 1983 and the Wuhan Branch of Wuhan Urban Construction Institute in 1985. It has undergone historical periods such as Henan Urban Construction College and Pingdingshan Institute of Technology. Undergraduate college, renamed Henan Urban Construction College in 2008.
