Huaibei Normal University (淮北师范大学, website) is a multi-disciplinary key university located in Huaibei City, Anhui Province, a national civilized city and a national garden city. Founded in 1974, it was Anhui Normal University Huaibei Branch. In December 1978, with the approval of the State Council, it was named Huaibei Coal Teachers College, which belongs to the former Ministry of Coal Industry and recruits students nationwide. In September 1998, the management system of “co-construction between the central and local governments, focusing on the management of Anhui Province” was implemented. In March 2010, it was renamed Huaibei Normal University after being approved by the Ministry of Education. Obtained the right to grant a master’s degree in 2003.
