Hunan Software Vocational Institute (湖南软件职业学院, website) is located in Xiangtan City, Hunan Province, the hometown of Chairman Mao Zedong. In 2005, with the approval of the Provincial People’s Government and the filing of the Ministry of Education, the Hunan Software Vocational College was formally established. In 2007, Mr. Ren Yuqi, the representative of the 10th and 11th National People ’s Congress and chairman of Jinqiao Investment Holding Group, embraced the ideal of “reporting the country through education”, acquired Hunan Software Vocational College as the college organizer, and in the “two-type” society in Xiangtan that year Demonstration area (now state-level Xiangtan Economic and Technological Development Zone) land acquisition and construction of a new campus opened a new page for the development of the college. Hunan Software Vocational Institute covers an area of 905.53 acres.
