Jiangxi College of Applied Technology (江西应用技术职业学院, website) is a full-time public vocational college sponsored by the Jiangxi Provincial Government and headed by the Provincial Department of Natural Resources. It is located in the central city of “Four Provinces”, the national civilized city and the national forest city-Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. Established in May 1958, the school has gone through five stages of development: Jiangxi Geological Institute, Jiangxi Geological School, Ganzhou Geological School, Southern Industrial School, and Jiangxi Vocational College of Applied Technology. Formerly a university directly affiliated to the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, after 60 years of accumulation, the school has strong strengths, distinctive features and significant advantages.
In 2009, Jiangxi College of Applied Technology was established as the first batch of exemplary vocational colleges in Jiangxi Province. In 2010, it was selected as one of the top 100 backbone vocational colleges in the country and ranked among the top 100 in the country. In 2014, it became the first batch of applied technology undergraduate pilot colleges in Jiangxi Province. In 2015, it was selected as one of the nation ’s 100 modern apprenticeship pilot vocational colleges.
