Jingchu University of Technology (荆楚理工学院, website) is a provincial full-time general higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education in March 2007. It was formed by the merger of Jingmen Vocational and Technical College and Shayang Normal College. It has a history of running higher education for more than 30 years.

The university is located at the foot of Bailong Mountain in the central city of Jingmen, Hubei Province, surrounded by mountains and rivers, with beautiful scenery and profound cultural and historical heritage. It is a landscape garden-style university. The school runs on a campus, the campus covers an area of ??more than 2,200 acres, and the school building area is more than 300,000 square meters. The total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 113 million yuan. The library has 1.29 million paper books. Jingchu University of Technology has successively carried out joint training of postgraduates with Wuhan University of Technology, Hubei University of Technology and other universities, and cooperated with the Mayo Institute of Technology in Galway in Ireland, Ubon Ratchathani University in Thailand, De La Salle University in the Philippines, the University of Barcelona in Spain, the Institute of Technology Western Australia in Australia, and the Netherlands. Foreign universities such as Jing University, Vaasa University of Applied Sciences in Finland, John Jie College of Criminal Justice in the United States, and University of Caen in France have established inter-university exchanges and cooperation, with 182 international students. The university offers three undergraduate majors taught in English: stomatology, marketing, and computer science and technology. According to the Chinese language proficiency of international students, the school offers international Chinese elementary classes, intermediate classes and advanced classes.
