Leshan Vocational and Technical College (乐山职业技术学院, website) is located in Leshan City, a famous historical and cultural city at the confluence of the Three Rivers of Minjiang, Qingyi and Dadu Rivers, Sichuan Province. The college was established in April 2002 with the approval of the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government. A comprehensive full-time public college in the field of new energy.

Leshan Vocational and Technical College is a model higher vocational college in Sichuan Province. The college has new energy engineering department, financial management department, tourism department, art design department, mechanical and electrical engineering department, electronic information engineering department, nursing department, medical department, pharmacy department, physical education department and basic public curriculum department. Established 48 majors in liberal arts, sciences and engineering. Among them, majors in nursing, silicon material technology, and mobile communication technology are provincial key specialties. The college has three directly affiliated hospitals and three non-directly affiliated hospitals of Leshan Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, Leshan Geriatrics Hospital, and Leshan Maternal and Child Health Hospital.

The college has internships, training rooms and training bases equipped with advanced instruments and equipment. It has established the “Ministry of Education-ZTE ICT Industry Innovation” base, the most advanced technology and equipment in the domestic ICT industry, and the first “polysilicon simulation factory” and “Leshan Solar Energy Research Institute”, “Leshan Pharmaceutical Research Center”, “3D Printing Engineering Technology Center” research bases. The college actively carries out multi-level, wide-ranging, and multi-form international exchanges and cooperation, insists on the combination of “introduction” and “going out”, and has successively cooperated with the United States, Finland, Canada, Germany, Japan, South Korea, Australia, Thailand, Laos, Countries such as Nepal and 39 universities or institutions in Hong Kong and Taiwan have established friendly relations of cooperation; the introduction of high-quality educational resources from the United States, Canada, Japan, Finland, and Australia; and exchanges of teachers and students and further studies. Among the higher vocational colleges in Sichuan Province, the college first recruits international students with academic qualifications. Since 2011, it has enrolled 255 international students from Thailand, Laos, Nepal, Malaysia, and Angola, and currently has 120 international students. In 2014, the college was awarded the title of “Advanced Collective for Education of Overseas Students in China” by the China Institute of Higher Education, which has taken a new step in the field of international exchange and cooperation.

Leshan Vocational and Technical College ranks among the top universities in the province in terms of enrollment and graduate employment rate. A number of nursing and mechanical graduates have graduated in the United States, Britain, Canada, Australia, Finland, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Japan and other countries and District work.
