North China University of Science and Technology (华北理工大学, website) is a multi-disciplinary coordinated development of engineering, medicine, science, economics, management, literature, law, art, and teaching. The school is jointly established by the People’s Government of Hebei Province and the State Administration of Work Safety, the People’s Government of Hebei Province, and the State Administration of Defense Technology and Industry.

North China University of Science and Technology, the predecessor of Hebei United University, was approved by the Ministry of Education in May 2010. Hebei University of Science and Technology formerly known as the Department of Mining Studies of Beiyang Western Academy, founded in 1895, was founded in 1958, and merged into the Department of Mining and Metallurgy of Tianjin University in 1959. Names of technical colleges, Hebei Polytechnic, etc. North China Coal Medical College was formerly Kailuan Senior Nursing Vocational School, which was founded in 1926.
