North University of China (中北大学, website) is a multi-disciplinary teaching and research university jointly established by the Shanxi Provincial People’s Government and the National Defense Technology Industry Bureau and managed by the Shanxi Provincial People’s Government. The school’s predecessor was the first military engineering school of our party and our army, Taihang Industrial School, established by the Eighth Route Army Headquarters in the Taihang Anti-Japanese Base in 1941, known as the “People’s Military Engineering First School”.

North University of China strives to strengthen foreign cooperation in running schools, adheres to the strategy of serving the country, and the influence of social services continues to expand. Signed agreements with the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Taiyuan City and Shanxi Coal Chemical Industry Institute to jointly build the Taiyuan Energy Materials College of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Institute of Technology. Signed a deepening cooperation agreement with Xi’an Jiaotong University, a C9 university. Facing the Yangtze River Delta, the Nantong Intelligent Opto-Electrical Mechanical and Electrical Research Institute of North University of China will be built in Nantong Municipal Government of Jiangsu Province.
