Qiannan Normal University for Nationalities (黔南师范民族学院, website) is an undergraduate-level ethnic normal university established in March 2000 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is also the first local university in Guizhou to be upgraded. In 2007, the school received the “Good” assessment of the undergraduate teaching level of the Ministry of Education; in 2011 it was approved to become a master’s degree graduate education unit; in 2012, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to become a “national primary and secondary school teacher training program”. The school faces Lianhua Mountain in the east, Jianjiang River in the south, and Sichuan-Guizhou-Guangzhou golden channel in the west—Guixin High-grade Highway, Xiamen-Rong Expressway, Guizhou-Guizhou Railway, Guizhou-Guangzhou Express Railroad, and “Dongpeng Mountain” National Nature Reserve .
