Introduction to Qingyang Vocational and Technical College

Qingyang Vocational and Technical College (庆阳职业技术学院，website) was approved by the People’s Government of Gansu Province in October 2014, and was filed by the Ministry of Education in April 2015. The college is located in the core area of Longdong National Large-scale Energy and Chemical Industry Base. The former government of the Shaanxi-Ganbian Revolutionary Base is Qingyang City, Gansu Province. It is under the management of Qingyang Municipal People’s Government and accepts business guidance from Gansu Education Department.

Qingyang Vocational and Technical College now covers an area of 257 acres (745 acres of reserved land), a building area of 78,500 square meters, training equipment worth 23 million yuan, and fixed assets of 248 million yuan. There are 326 in-service faculty members, including 287 full-time teachers, 65 senior titles and 103 intermediate titles. There are 29 postgraduates and 2 PhD candidates. The college has 14 party and government management institutions, 3 group organizations, 9 teaching institutions and 2 teaching aids. 23 higher vocational majors including accounting, pre-school education, industrial robotics, mining machinery, construction engineering technology, and sports training were established. 4,100 students.

Qingyang Vocational and Technical College teachers have published 28 school-based teaching materials, 4 monographs, published more than 300 papers and won 5 national invention patents. Won the second prize of scientific research achievements of the Gansu Provincial Department of Education, outstanding achievements in social sciences of Qingyang City, and the “five one” project award. Twelve faculty members were commended and rewarded by the Ministry of Education, the State General Administration of Sports, and the League Central Committee, and 43 teachers were awarded the title of “Provincial and Municipal Excellent Counseling Teachers”.

Qingyang Vocational and Technical College has won the National Robotics Virtual Simulation Contest of Higher Vocational Colleges, the Second and Third Prizes of the National College Student Robot Contest, and the “Internet +” College Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Gansu Final Bronze Award. The college has received commendations and awards from the Gansu Provincial Department of Education, the Human Resources and Social Affairs Department, the Youth League Committee, the Qingyang Municipal Party Committee, and the Municipal Government.
