Shaanxi Aviation Professional Technical Institute (陕西航空职业技术学院, website) is a full-time public general college with higher education qualifications approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It belongs to Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education and China Aviation Industry Corporation.

The college was formerly known as the former No. 543 Factory of the Ministry of Aviation Industry, and was approved by the former Ministry of Aviation Industry and filed by the Ministry of Education in 1982. It is the Southern Shaanxi Aviation Workers College; in 2003, it was approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It was reorganized into Shaanxi Aviation Vocational and Technical College.

Shaanxi Aviation Professional Technical Institute is an outstanding institution for assessing the level of talent training in higher vocational colleges of the Ministry of Education, the third batch of modern apprenticeship pilot units of the Ministry of Education, and the only provincial model vocational college in southern Shaanxi that is mainly based on engineering. 2. Shaanxi Aviation Professional Technical Institute currently has two campuses in the North and the South. The North Campus is located in Xinghan New District and is the secondary vocational teaching department of the college. There are nearly 9,000 full-time students and more than 600 teaching and administrative staff. It has a land area of more than 930 mu and total assets of more than 450 million yuan. There are School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Materials and Architectural Engineering, School of Electronic Engineering, School of Management Engineering, College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Ideological and Political Education, Training Center, Network Center, Hanzhong Institute of Industrial Technology, Higher Vocational Education Research Room, Teaching Teaching and research institutions such as supervision rooms. 41 majors in 7 major categories including transportation, electronic information, finance and commerce, tourism, civil engineering, resources, environment and security have been set up.

The Shaanxi Aviation Professional Technical Institute places great emphasis on employment recommendation for graduates.
