Shaanxi Xueqian Normal University (陕西学前师范学院, website) is a provincial public undergraduate college mainly based on teacher education and featuring preschool education teachers. Formerly known as Shaanxi Education College, the school was established in 1963 by the merger of Shaanxi Xi’an Normal School (established in 1906) and Shaanxi Teachers’ Training School (established in 1956). In March 2012, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the system was renamed Shaanxi Preschool Teachers College, and it is currently the only undergraduate college named after the “preschool teacher” in the country.
Shaanxi Xueqian Normal University is located in the historical and cultural city of Xi’an. It has two campuses, Yanta and Changan. It has an elegant campus environment and excellent school conditions. It has modern teaching buildings, libraries, student apartments, student activity centers, and teacher training buildings. The building area is 277,500 square meters. The library has more than 1.49 million volumes of paper books and 1.46 million volumes of electronic books.
