Shandong Technology and Business University (山东工商学院, website), formerly known as China Coal Economics College, was founded in 1985 and is affiliated to the former Ministry of Coal Industry. In September 1998, due to the reform of the management system, the central government and Shandong province co-founded, focusing mainly on Shandong province management. In February 2003, it changed its name.

Shandong Technology and Business University is located in “Best Chinese Charm City”-Yantai, with mountains and sea and beautiful scenery. It is a provincial garden-type unit and a civilized campus. First-Class Pioneering Education Demonstration School, Shandong Province’s first national pilot group of “Second Class Report Card” system approved by the National Youth League Central Committee and National Pioneering Education Demonstration Base. It has five first-level disciplines including management science and engineering, business administration, applied economics, computer science and technology, and public management.
