Shandong Transport Vocational College (山东交通职业学院, website) was founded in 1973. Its predecessor was the Changwei District Transportation Technical School, which was established by the Changwei District Transportation Bureau in Shouguang County on December 25, 1973. In 1981, it was renamed the Weifang District Traffic Technical School. In October 1982, it was renamed as Shandong Road Transportation Weifang Technical School. In June 1987, the Weifang Automobile Transport School of Shandong Province was established, and it was co-administered with the Shandong Road Transport Weifang Technical School, under the Shandong Provincial Department of Communications. In June 1989, it was renamed as Weifang Transportation School of Shandong Province, and in September, it was renamed as Shandong Weifang Transportation Technical School. In May 2000, it was renamed Shandong Transportation Engineering School. In July 2002, it was rebuilt into Shandong Communications Vocational College. In December 2013, the former Shandong Transportation School was incorporated as a whole.
