Established in 1951, Shandong University of Science and Technology (山东科技大学, website) is a Shandong province with outstanding engineering advantages and distinctive industry characteristics. Engineering, science, management, literature, law, economics, art, and other disciplines are infiltrated and coordinated. The focus is on building well-known universities for the application of basic talents, which are jointly established by the People’s Government of Shandong Province and the former State Administration of Work Safety.

It runs schools in Qingdao, Tai’an and Jinan. It covers a total area of more than 3800 acres, a construction area of 1.46 million square meters, a total fixed asset value of 2.897 billion yuan, and a total of 746 million yuan in teaching and scientific research equipment. The school has 33 secondary teaching and research units, 6 full-time scientific research institutions, and 1 independent college.
