Shandong Vocational College of Art and Design (山东艺术设计职业学院, website) was founded in 1985, formerly known as the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Correspondence University of Jinan, and the first principal was Mr. Yu Xining, a well-known master of Chinese painting. Over the past 30 years since the school was founded, the school has gone through multiple development periods and spanned multiple development stages. In 2014, it was approved by the Shandong Provincial People’s Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It was named “Shandong Art Design Vocational College” and officially upgraded to the art category. normal high school.

Shandong Vocational College of Art and Design The main campus is located at the southern foot of Huangtai Mountain, Lishan North Road, Jinan City, facing the Xiaoqing River Scenic Area in the south, the Yellow River in the north, the Huashan Wetland in the east, and Huangtai Cultural City in the west. . The campus covers an area of 205 acres and a building area of 100,000 square meters. It is currently the only ordinary university in Jinan City with the main campus within the second ring road. In 2019, our school signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Tai’an Municipal People’s Government to jointly build the Taishan Campus of Shandong Vocational College of Art and Design in Daiyue District, Tai’an. Taishan Campus is located 1km west of the extension of Huanshan Road in Tai’an City, and the Jitai Expressway intersection. The campus covers an area of 1100 acres and a building area of 300,000 square meters. It has been included in the key construction projects of the Tai’an Municipal Government, marking another important step for our university to advance to a “vocational university”.

There are seven secondary departments including the School of Environmental Art Design, the School of Applied Design, the School of Applied Art, the School of Media, the School of Music and Dance, the School of Aviation, and the School of Continuing Education, a Costume Institute, and a Virtual Reality Engineering Technology Experimental Center.
