Sichuan Vocational College of Chemical Industry (四川化工职业技术学院, website) is a full-time general college approved by the Sichuan Provincial People’s Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It belongs to the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology. The college was founded in 1953 and has a long history of running a school. It is the only higher vocational technical college in the chemical industry with the longest history and the largest impact in the Southwest. In 1998, it became the first batch of pilot schools for higher vocational education in Sichuan Province. In 2003, it was upgraded to a higher vocational college. In 2007, it was awarded “excellent” in the evaluation of the talent training of higher vocational colleges by the Ministry of Education. In June 2012, it was identified as the construction unit of Sichuan Province “Provincial Model Higher Vocational College Construction Plan”. In January 2015, it successfully passed the provincial model higher vocational college construction project acceptance and obtained “Excellent” level, 2017 In November, it was identified as a project-cultivating college for Sichuan Province’s “Quality Higher Vocational College Construction Plan”.

Sichuan Vocational College of Chemical Industry is located in the national historical and cultural city, the national civilized city, the national sanitary city, China’s “Western Chemical City”, and the provincial garden city-Luzhou City, Sichuan Province. “Style school”, “city-level civilized unit” and “provincial comprehensive governance model unit”.

Sichuan Vocational College of Chemical Industry now covers an area of nearly 600 acres, the library holds more than 400,000 books, and more than 8,000 students. The college has set up majors in accordance with market demand and established 36 majors (directions). It has formed a professional system featuring chemical and pharmaceutical industries and the coordinated development of intelligent manufacturing, information technology, and economic and trade logistics. There are national vocational skill appraisal stations and multiple training centers.

The college has always attached importance to students’ vocational skills training. The total area of experimental and practical training bases in the school is more than 50,000 square meters. There are 16 internal training bases, 128 experimental training rooms, and 4 mechanical engineering training centers. In the school and factory, the training room covers all majors, and the experimental training rate is 100%. The college has a training base for applied chemical technology and an electric training base funded by the central government.
