Wuhan Railway Vocational College of Technology (武汉铁路职业技术学院, website) is a full-time general higher vocational college with railway characteristics sponsored by the Hubei Provincial Government. It is a national exemplary higher vocational college.

The college was founded in 1956, and has undergone the evolution of Wuhan Railway Machinery School, Wuhan Railway Institute, and Wuhan Railway Transportation School; in October 2000, Wuhan Railway Adult Secondary Vocational School was revoked and merged into it as a whole; Wuhan Railway Health School was transferred to the college in August 2005 Management; In April 2001, the Wuhan Railway Vocational College of Technology was established with the approval of the People’s Government of Hubei Province.

The college covers an area of ??more than 700 acres, with a building area of ??about 350,000 square meters. There are more than 12,800 full-time vocational students and more than 600 faculty members. There are 8 secondary colleges, including Marxist colleges, public courses and practice Training center, opened 33 specialties.

The school actively participates in international cooperation, has successively cooperated with higher education institutions and vocational education institutions in the United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, Australia, the United States, Thailand, Kenya, Cambodia and other countries, and has taken the lead in training high-speed rail professionals for countries along the “Belt and Road”. The “China-Thailand Joint Training of High-speed Railway Professionals” project became the first batch of China-ASEAN vocational colleges’ characteristic cooperation projects. The world’s first high-speed rail Luban academy was established in Thailand, and the school became a window for the world to understand China’s higher vocational education.
