Introduction to Xi’an Electric Power College
Xi’an Electric Power College (西安电力高等专科学校, website) is one of the 12 higher vocational colleges in the State Grid Corporation of China system. It is the only full-time power college in Northwest China.
The school occupies a total area of 404.40 acres. The total building area of the teaching school building is 163,500 square meters. It has 153 training (experimental) laboratories such as grid operation, power marketing, relay protection, and substation maintenance. It is authorized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security 100 special jobs in the power industry, and 92 skills appraisal qualifications authorized by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security.
Xi’an Electric Power College 9 majors were rated as provincial key majors, 4 majors were listed as provincial first-class professional training programs, 8 courses were rated as provincial excellent courses, and 3 teaching teams were determined as Shaanxi ordinary advanced The school’s teaching team, 4 teachers were rated as teaching masters in ordinary colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province, and students have won awards in national college student mathematical modeling competitions, electronic design competitions, and Sino-Australian cooperative school skills competitions.
Xi’an Electric Power College has been highly recognized by the national power industry, the State Grid Corporation of China and all sectors of society. The school construction plan project unit became a high-skilled talent training base of the State Grid Corporation of China in 2010. It was awarded the National Vocational Skills Training Base by the National Federation of Trade Unions in 2012. Annual and 2016 “State Grid Corporation Advanced Collective”, won the fifth national civilized unit in 2017. Shaanxi Training Center of State Grid, Xi’an Branch of State Grid Technology College, Xi’an Branch of State Grid Corporation Party School and other institutions have settled in here. The score line for college entrance examinations has been among the top vocational colleges in Shaanxi Province for years, and the graduate employment rate is also among the best.
