Xi’an Vocational University of Automobile (西安汽车职业大学, website) is the first batch of undergraduate-level vocational education pilot colleges in Shaanxi Province and the only provincial-level undergraduate-level vocational university named for automobiles in Shaanxi Province. It is also the “civilized campus of the education system in Shaanxi Province”. The school is located in the world famous historical and cultural city, the birthplace of the Chinese people, and the starting point of the Silk Road in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. The school is the vice chairman unit of Shaanxi Automobile Engineering Society and the vice chairman unit of Shaanxi Private Education Association.

The school was founded in 1987 and was formerly known as Xiying Road Motorcycle Repair Technical School. In 2004, it was approved by the Shaanxi Provincial People’s Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It became a full-time ordinary college and was renamed Xi’an Automobile Science and Technology Vocational College. In December 2018, it was upgraded to an undergraduate level vocational school-Xi’an Automobile Technology Vocational College (undergraduate); May 2019 was approved by the Ministry of Education to change its name to Xi’an Automobile Vocational University.

Xi’an Vocational University of Automobile is based on work, with the coordinated development of multiple disciplines including work, management, economics, and literature. The needs of the development of the rail transit industry, the electronic information industry and related industries, training high-quality laborers and high-level technical and technical personnel with comprehensive development of moral, intellectual, physical, and aesthetic.

Xi’an Vocational University of Automobile consists of two campuses, Lintong Campus and Bailuyuan Campus. Lintong Main Campus is surrounded by Weihe River in the east, Gaoling Equipment Industry Group Industrial Zone in the west, Laoshan in the south, and Xi’an Yanliang National Aviation High Technology in the north. In the past three years, Xi’an Vocational University of Automobile has won 10 national awards and more than 50 provincial and ministerial awards; participated in the National University Formula Race, Baha’s Race, Southwest Touring Car Classic, Jaguar Land Rover Global Elite Technician Competition and other automotive categories The competition has repeatedly achieved excellent results. The university has undertaken 55 scientific research projects in recent years, obtained 91 patents, and completed 65 consulting reports. It has published 426 papers, including 77 SCI, EI, CSCD, and core journal papers. So far, the school has obtained 10 provincial-level teaching reform projects, including 2 provincial-level key projects. In particular, the professional teaching teams of automotive, electronic information, rail transportation, and road transportation have a high level of teaching and strong scientific research capabilities.
