Yibin University (宜宾学院, website) is located in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, a famous historical and cultural city in the country. It is a provincial full-time comprehensive undergraduate university with beautiful surroundings and rich heritage. The school started in Lizhuang, Sichuan in 1978, and was approved by the Ministry of Education in 2001. It was formed by the merger of the former Yibin Teachers College and Sichuan Education College Yibin Branch. For more than 40 years since its establishment, it has been honored as “National Civilized Unit”, “National Language and Character Demonstration School”, “National Mass Sports Advanced Unit”, “National Top 400 Afforestation and Greening Units”, “Sichuan Provincial Garden-style Colleges”, “ “Sichuan Province Colleges and Universities Advanced Unit for Employment Work”, “Sichuan Provincial Demonstration School by Law”, “Sichuan Civilized Campus” and other titles.
Yibin University currently has 19 secondary colleges, offering 65 undergraduate majors covering liberal arts, science, engineering, management, economics, law, teaching, arts, and agricultural nine universities, and recruits students from 28 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions. There are currently more than 20,000 full-time students. Carry out education for international students in countries along the “Belt and Road” in South and Southeast Asia.

Yibin University has 9 provincial-level research and innovation teams. Jointly build 4 provincial-level scientific research and innovation platforms such as the Sichuan Thinker Research Center and the use of solid fermentation resources with government agencies, enterprises and institutions; jointly build 11 municipal-level research and innovation platforms such as the development and utilization of perfume plants and rural community governance research centers . Yibin University has three campuses, A, B and Lingang New Campus, covering an area of about 2,800 acres. The newly-built Yibin College Lingang Campus covers a total area of 1,500 acres, with a planned construction area of 580,000 square meters, which will be completed in three phases. The first phase of the project covers an area of 495 acres and a construction area of 180,000 square meters.
