Yichun Vocational Technical College (宜春职业技术学院, website) is located in Yichun City, a historical and cultural city in the west of Jiangxi. The city has a beautiful environment, beautiful mountains and rivers, and convenient transportation. It is a national excellent tourist city, a national sanitary city, a national garden city, and a national green model city.

Yichun Vocational Technical College is a public full-time college-level college approved by the People’s Government of Jiangxi Province in June 2003 and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is a model higher vocational college in Jiangxi Province.

Yichun Vocational Technical College has an elegant environment and complete facilities. It has set up the North Campus, South Campus, and Economic Development Campus. It actively responds to the work arrangements for the construction of the New Educational and Physical Education Zone of the Municipal Party Committee and the City Government, and fully promotes the construction of the new campus. The new campus is located on the east side of the planned second road of the new sports area and the north side of Jinxiu Avenue. It covers an area of 1497 acres and a total construction area of 575,000 square meters. It will be put into use in 2021.

Yichun Vocational Technical College consists of Nursing College, Medical College, Teachers College, College of Mechanical and Electrical and New Energy Automobile, College of Finance and Accounting, College of E-Commerce and Tourism, College of Information Engineering, College of Arts and Design, College of International Education, College of Continuing Education, Innovation The Entrepreneurship Institute, the Marxist College, the Ministry of Medical Basics, the Military Sports Department and other teaching units recruit students from more than 20 provinces and cities across the country, with more than 16,000 students. At present, there are 733 full-time teachers, including 276 teachers with senior professional titles. There are 1 candidate for the “New Century Multi-Million Talent Project” in Jiangxi Province, 4 teaching teachers in provincial colleges, 1 leader in provincial middle-aged and young subjects, and provincial colleges. There are 11 young and middle-aged backbone teachers, and 2 outstanding teaching teams in provincial universities.

Yichun Vocational Technical College currently has 4 specialty colleges in Jiangxi Province, 4 major construction majors in Jiangxi Provincial Model Colleges, and 2 dominant specialty colleges in Jiangxi Province. The school has 2 vocational education training bases supported by the central government, and 4 provincial higher vocational education professional skills training centers.

Yichun Vocational Technical College has actively carried out school-enterprise cooperation, implemented an order-based training model, and established internship and employment networks covering Jiangxi Province and the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, and even the whole country. The graduate employment rate has exceeded 95%, and the school has been repeatedly rated as “Advanced Unit for Employment of University Graduates in the Province”. The school attaches importance to international exchanges and cooperation. It has established friendly relations with universities in the United States, Canada, Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, Denmark, Mexico, Japan and other places, and signed inter-school cooperation agreements or cooperation memoranda. The school has obtained the permission to run a Sino-Canadian cooperative preschool education project, and has opened a Sino-Canadian cooperative class. It has recruited two students. The school joined the Sino-German Vocational Education Alliance as a vice-chairman unit, and was identified as the “China-German Vocational Education Alliance Jiangxi Province Demonstration Base”.

Yichun Vocational Technical College has continuously improved the quality of technical skills training. Teachers and students have won top prizes in various skill competitions at all levels, and have repeatedly achieved good results. Teachers received 49 national awards and 255 provincial awards; first prize in 2017 and 2018 National Vocational College Nursing Teachers Teaching Ability Contest, and first prize in Jiangxi Province’s provincial teaching achievements. From 2016 to 2018, students won the first prize in the nursing skills of the higher vocational group of the National Vocational College Skills Competition for three consecutive years, creating the best results of Jiangxi Province in the National Vocational College Nursing Skills Competition; in the National Health Vocational college inspection skills competition, national college student art performances, national vocational college sand table simulation business competition and other competitions have achieved excellent results; in the past three years, students have won a total of 12 national awards, provincial and ministerial awards 154. The school’s achievements in innovation and entrepreneurship are outstanding, and “Career Space for Creative Employment” has been identified as the national record creation space, provincial crowd creation space and provincial entrepreneurship incubation demonstration base.

Through the joint efforts of all faculty and staff, Yichun Vocational Technical College was successfully selected as a pilot school of the Ministry of Education and UNICEF “Life Skills Development” Youth Education Cooperation Project, and won the first batch of national energy-saving emission reduction demonstration units for public institutions and the fifth batch of national National unity and progress creation demonstration unit, national top ten vocational colleges for precision poverty alleviation, national mass sports advanced unit, advanced group of Chinese students, Jiangxi province talent work demonstration site, Jiangxi automobile circulation industry production and education integration top ten vocational college, Provincial universities for the evaluation of party building work in the province, advanced units in the management of student housing in universities, advanced units in logistics in Jiangxi province, and advanced collectives in ideological and political education in universities in the province.
