Yunnan Agricultural University (云南农业大学, website) is located in the spring city of Kunming, bordering Longquan Mountain in the north and Panlong River in the east, and adjacent to the famous scenic spot Kunming Heilongtan Park.
The university was founded in 1938, formerly known as the National Yunnan University College of Agriculture, and was established in Chenggong County, Kunming. It was independently established in 1958 as the Kunming Agriculture and Forestry College, and moved to Heilongtan, the northern suburb of Kunming. In 1962, South Yunnan University and West Yunnan University merged into Kunming.
