Zunyi Normal University (遵义师范学院, website) is a well-known revolutionary historical and cultural city with a reputation of “red holy land, beautiful Zunyi” at home and abroad. In 1907, Zunyi Junior Normal School came into being under the concept of “doing better than learning before the teacher”, which opened the way for modern normal education in Zunyi. In 1958, the Zunyi Normal College was officially established. In 2001, it was upgraded to Zunyi with the approval of the Ministry of Education. Normal university. Zunyi Normal University is a university with a red revolutionary tradition. Zunyi Normal University is located in the university town center of Xinpu New District, covering an area of more than 2100 acres, of which 1,000 acres have been completed in the North District (1100 acres in the South District are under planning and construction), with a total construction area of 900,000 square meters. There are 1157 faculty members and 834 full-time teachers, including 155 professors, 384 associate professors, 221 doctoral degree holders and 523 master degree holders. College of Foreign Languages
Formerly known as the Department of Foreign Languages established in 1978, the College of Foreign Languages began to recruit undergraduates in 2001. The faculty structure of the college is reasonable, and the teaching and scientific research strength is relatively strong. There are 87 faculty members, including 3 professors, 48 associate professors and 19 lecturers. There are 5 PhDs, 58 Masters, and 4 PhDs in 2019. The college has 27 teaching classes with 1071 students, including 850 undergraduates and 221 junior college students.
The college has four majors, namely three undergraduate majors in English, Translation and Chinese International Education. The employment rate of undergraduate graduates in 2019 is 93.87%. The college offers “Japanese” and “Russian” as the second foreign language courses. It has 2 foreign teachers. There are 26 modern language laboratories, 1 simultaneous interpretation room, 1 interpretation and translation room.
