Job Description
1. Position: Project Assistant Professor
The starting rank will be determined according to the qualifications of the successful candidate and in compliance with the “National Taiwan University Directives for Appointing Contract Faculty members and Research Fellows with the University Endowment Fund.”
2. Job Description
A. Assist the Center for Bilingual Education (CBE) in promoting the English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) preparation courses and in teaching Freshman English (EMI Preparation Program; EMIPP), English for Academic Purposes (EAP), and English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses for undergraduate students, as well as English courses in the areas of Communication and Career Development category, along with other relevant subjects.
B. Support CBE in promoting teaching related initiatives.
C. Teach 16 hours per week, entirely in English.
D. Perform other teaching, research, and service-related duties expected of a full-time faculty member in compliance with the “National Taiwan University Directives for Appointing Contract Faculty members and Research Fellows with the University Endowment Fund.”
3. Employment Period
August 1, 2025 to July 31, 2026. Reappointment is subject to performance and funding.
4. Qualifications
A. Ph.D. degree from a domestic or international institution recognized by the Ministry of Education. Applicants with a foreign degree should provide the authenticated diploma.
B. Expertise in English-related fields (including English language teaching, applied linguistics, linguistics, literature, education). Candidates with expertise in cross-disciplinary fields (such as management, agriculture, social sciences, and STEM) are preferred.
C. Ability to teach in English and experience in teaching in an EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) setting is preferred.

vi. Chinese autobiography (700 to 1,000 words, not required for non-native Chinese speakers)
vii. English autobiography (2,000 to 3,000 words)
B. Photocopy of your national ID or passport, diploma, as well as academic/professional certificates
