Job Overview:
Xiaoliang Sunney XIE’s Group is recruiting researchers specializing in Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Leveraging the lab’s solid technical foundation in functional genomics, particularly through high-throughput, high-precision chromatin accessibility single-cell sequencing and spatially resolved single-cell chromatin accessibility sequencing, the researcher will be responsible for designing and conducting molecular biology, cell biology, and neurobiology experiments related to the AD research. By incorporating cutting-edge technologies including bioinformatics and artificial intelligence, researchers are expected to discover and identify new genetic markers related to AD, elucidate the gene expression regulatory networks and molecular mechanisms associated with AD pathology, and explore new diagnostic and therapeutic targets.
Xiaoliang Sunney XIE’s Introduction
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the team to complete projects in the AD research field and take on a training and mentoring role, imparting systematic knowledge and research skills in AD-related physiology and pathology to group members.
2. Design and conduct molecular biology, cell biology, and neurobiology experiments related to AD, including in vitro research, cell level research and transgenic experimental animal research.
3. Collaborate with team members to comprehensively analyze experimental data from high-precision single-cell chromatin accessibility, spatially resolved single-cell chromatin accessibility, methylation detection, neuroelectrophysiology, cognitive behavioral studies in experimental animals, and functional MRI image experimental data, to obtain reliable research results and efficiently promote research progress.
4. Write scientific papers of research achievements to the academic community and the public.
Requirements:
1. Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, or related fields. Having published high-level scientific publications as the first or corresponding author.
2. Postdoctoral research experience with at least 5 years of research experience in neurodegenerative diseases, particularly in new mechanisms, new targets, and New therapeutic direction.
3. Proficient in research methods and experimental techniques such as neurobiology, neuroelectrophysiology, neuropharmacology and animal experiments on cognitive behavior.
4. Familiar with AD-related cell models and animal models.
5. At least 3 years of genomics research experience.
6. Proficient in data analysis and statistical knowledge.
7. Proficient in high-throughput sequencing technologies and bioinformatics analysis tools.
8. Able to conduct independent research, with team work spirit.
9. Excellent communication skills, strong English reading and writing abilities, and scientific writing skills.
