About Soochow University

About College of Textile and Clothing Engineering

College of Textile and Clothing Engineering is a constituent unit of Soochow University. The textile discipline of the college has a long history from 1903 and ranks top 3 all over China. The college is the pioneer of tertiary education in textiles and clothing in Jiangsu Province and the leading centre for education and research in the textile and clothing field in the region. There are 111 faculty and staff, over 1200 undergraduate students and about 400 graduate students in the college. The Textile Engineering Program is a key major in the college. Job Description

Position: Associate Professor / Lecturer in Textiles and Clothing
Duty: Teach at undergraduate level
Working language: English
Working day: Monday to Friday
Class hour: 6-8 hours per week (depends on the teaching plan)
Salary: 10,000 to 15,000 RMB per month
Rental subsidy: 3000 RMB per month
Other benefits: Insurance, round trip flight ticket (economy class) once a year between China and the applicant’s homeland

Qualifications

  • Good health;
  • A master’s degree or doctoral degree in textile engineering, textile chemistry and fashion design and management;
  • Five years’ teaching experience with a master’s degree or two years’ teaching experience with a doctoral degree;
  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching.
