Chemistry Teacher with second subject
About Role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic chemist whose vision is to see all students develop a passion for Chemistry and understand its place as an applied subject in the world around them. The person should be an adaptable team member who values deepening their own subject knowledge to enable teaching across all aspects of Chemistry at both IGCSE and A Level. Experience of teaching another subject, particularly another Science subject up to GCSE level, and of leading student teams to global competitions is desirable.
The Chemistry Department at DHSZ is a thriving team of 6 highly motivated and passionate teachers. Working in spacious and well-equipped classrooms, the department’s mission is to inspire all students taking Chemistry to achieve their best in the subject. Teachers joining the team are fully supported with curriculum materials, resources and can expect support and a warm welcome from the team. The department is currently at the forefront of innovation within the school, especially using collaborative approaches to teaching and learning. Moreover, students are encouraged to be active learners; mistakes are welcomed as part of the learning process.
Our School
Dulwich International High School, Suzhou is the school of choice in Suzhou for Chinese parents who wish their children to gain the skills and education necessary for them to be successful in non-Chinese universities.
