HKUMed is now seeking exceptional candidates in the following disciplines to join its ranks:

Applications are invited for appointment as Non-­Tenure Track Clinical Professor of Practice (several posts) in the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 519432), to commence as soon as possible, on a three- to four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.  Fractional appointment may be considered for the suitable candidate.

Applicants should possess a specialist registration with the Hong Kong Medical Council (or be eligible to apply to the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine for the Certification of Specialist Registration).  They should have achieved international recognition for professional expertise, in addition to a distinguished and sustained record of excellence in one or more of the following areas:

  1. Clinical Services
  2. Teaching and Learning
  3. Knowledge Exchange and Services
  4. Research (basic science, translational and/or clinical research)

Preference will be given to those with demonstrated administrative leadership and management experiences in universities or healthcare settings.

Appointees shall be mapped to the relevant departments and units and take up a key role in achieving the highest standard of quality in all aspects of its clinically driven activities. They will foster academic collaboration within and outside the Faculty/University, and pursue new strategic directions for the further development of the Faculty and/or the respective departments/units. 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate.  Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
