Job Description

Position Title:     Digital Media Specialist – Photography/Videography
Division:              Administration
Supervisor:         Senior Director of Marketing and Communications
 
Position Summary:
This role supports the work of the Marketing & Communications Office (MARCOM) with commercial and creative photography and videography. He/she supports in the following three areas: digital communication through use of photography and videography for brand promotional materials; capturing the story and essence of Concordia through photos and video shorts for use on social media channels; and communication and documentary style support for events, Personnel and HOS communications.
 
Requirements:
         Education
         [Required]           
▪       Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of photography and videography experience
▪       A portfolio of previous photographs and/or videos that reflects an ability to adapt to a brand and provide a specific audience experience.

▪       Filming, Media production, Camera, Photography or design-related degree
         Experience
         [Required]
▪       Previous experience as a photographer and/or videographer
▪       Previous photo and video-editing experience; excellent knowledge of photo and video editing software
▪       A background in marketing, photography, graphic design

▪       Previous experience in a marketing department, graphic design, or a photographer/videographer in other departments or environments
▪       Experience working in a multi-cultural team environment
         Skills

▪     Excellent spoken and written English
▪     Skilled photographer that can capture the shots that tell our story both for use with collateral pieces and on the website.
▪     Flexible and quick to adjust to new dynamics of individuals or environment
▪     Comfortable speaking to and moving forward projects with disparate groups/cultures
▪     High comfort level working with computers and learning new software, with proven skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite of design products, as well as PhotoShop.
▪     Self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and deadline driven
▪     An ability to learn fast

▪       Familiarity with Concordia International School Shanghai and its mission
▪       Familiarity with the U.S. educational system
▪       Familiarity with Finalsite and other graphic design programs
▪       Knowledge of all Social Media programs and current trends

▪       Oral fluency in English, Mandarin or Korean

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Communicate the brand of Concordia through digital media in multiple formats.
  • Capture the Concordia story via photo and video for purposes of promotion and publication on digital marketing channels and website:
o   Major events, daily classroom moments and human interaction.
o   Select subjects and story board videos to support MARCOM strategies and campaigns.
o   The ability to edit and retouch photos for all marketing channels used by the school.
o   The ability to produce and edit video for all marketing channels used by the school.
  • Support Facility marketing efforts creating and maintaining photo and video facility tour for use on campus and via the website.
  • Produce photos and videos for internal use for HOS communications and personnel as needed.
  • Responsible for care and upkeep of all photography equipment, props, and supplies.
  • Develop a methodology for filing and accessing digital media at Concordia.
  • Provide team access to produced photos and videos that can be used for internal and external purposes.
  • Other digital media projects as assigned.
