Position Title:     Digital Media Specialist (Social Media & Videography)
Division:              Administration
Supervisor:         Assistant Director of MarCom
 
Position Summary:
The Digital Media Specialist supports the work of the Marketing & Communications Office (MARCOM) through the planned management of our digital media channels, and the creation of multi-channel content that tells the Concordia brand story. This includes the creation of video content for brand collateral; social media channels; our website; and in support of internal and external communication for events, recruitment, and key leadership messaging.
 
Requirements:
         Education
         [Required]           
▪       Bachelor’s degree or higher in Multimedia / Journalism / Communications / Art & Design / Marketing or a related field.          
         Experience
         [Required]
▪         Minimum of 3 years’ work experience
▪         Previous experience planning and managing social media accounts
▪         Experience and demonstrated skill producing video content
         [Desired]             
▪       Work experience in a creative agency or marketing department
▪       Background in marketing, photography, web editing, graphic design
         Skills
         [Required]
▪     Fluent, or near fluency in English
▪       Social Media:
o   Social Media management skills – formal experience and knowledge of Chinese and Western social platforms, social publishing tools, and basic paid social strategies
o   Proven ability to plan a content strategy for social channels, based on audience and analytics
o   Experience managing campaigns from planning to execution
o   Create insightful monthly reports to guide creative data-driven decisions
o   Ability to act as a brand storyteller, to edit the brand voice and tone across all channels
o   Remain current on the latest news and social media trends, ensuring competitiveness
o   Monitor social media conversations, respond to social media queries, comments, and customer service issues to create sense of community, and manage Concordia’s reputation
o   Manage an editorial content calendar for all social media channels
o   Basic knowledge using graphic design software
▪       Videography:
o   Videography skills – a proven ability to tell stories through videos
o   Skilled in the use of Adobe Suite of products or other video editing software
o   Flexible and quick to adjust to new dynamics of individuals or environment

▪       Fluent, or near fluency in Mandarin preferred
▪       Familiarity with Concordia International School Shanghai and its mission
▪       Familiarity with the U.S. educational system
▪       Familiarity with Finalsite and Hubspot
▪       Experience, developing an influencer strategy to increase brand awareness
▪       Excellent writing skills
▪       Strong analytical skills
▪       Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
▪       International experience preferred
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
·    Build brand awareness and engage target audiences via digital media channels.
·    Plan and create social media content, manage all owned school channels, and provide monthly reports.
·    Capture the Concordia story via video for purposes of promotion and publication on digital marketing channels and website. Including:
o  Video major events, daily classroom moments and human interaction
o  Produce and edit video for all marketing channels used by the school
·    Support Facility marketing and recruitment efforts.
