Director of Sports and Enrichment
About Role

Organisation, Leadership, Management
- Provide strategic leadership so that colleagues are aware of, and can act upon, developments within the subject.
- Promote and be responsible for student participation and achievement in both PE and sport across the School.
- Actively participate in extra-curricular activities
- Plan and promote sport events
- Ensure that departmental processes are effective for supporting and evaluating staff development and academic standards of students.
- Produce departmental plans to address identified School and department priorities.
- Ensure effective tracking of students’ progress through accurate identification, followed by intervention of underperformance, with impact of interventions measured.
- Manage and lead the department, including chairing regular meetings.
- Manage assessment, recording and reporting procedures.
- Manage the department budget and its resources, including the annual department stock take, and the maintenance and upkeep of the facilities of the department.
- Ensure the department is fully represented at school functions and events.
- Ensure the department leads on key events relevant to the department throughout the year.
- Ensure safety procedures are being followed for all staff and students, both on and off campus.
- Ensure that the highest standards of Safeguarding are upheld throughout the department and with external providers.
Co-curricular Enrichment
- Develop and plan a diverse range of co-curricular activities that cater to the interests and developmental needs of students.
- Ensure that co-curricular activities offering align with the school’s educational objectives and vision.
- Coordinate with teachers and external organizations etc. to ensure effective implementation of activities.
- Oversee the execution of activities and ensure they are conducted safely and in accordance with school and safeguarding policy.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of co-curricular programs and make recommendations for improvement.
Trip coordinator
- Oversee and manage the student trip and related issues.
- Develop and support the department’s contribution to the student trips of the school.
Any other duties as instructed by the Head of School.
Our School
Dulwich International High School Zhuhai (DHZH) is a selective, English-medium, co-educational four-year high school. Our students are highly motivated and learning focused which provides an outstanding school climate to work in. The majority of our students are PRC nationals who will pursue their tertiary studies at universities and colleges outside China. To this end, our students opt out of the Chinese education system at the end of junior middle school to follow a curriculum leading to IGCSEs and A Levels.
DHZH is currently in our thirteenth year of operation and moved to an 800-seat purpose-built campus on Hengqin Island in 2021.
