Job Description
Responsible for working closely with LifePlus leaders and the Teaching and Learning Specialist to lead the development of LifePlus’ curriculum and professional development (PD) program in line with best practice educational standards. This role is required to:
- Educate, train and mentor LifePlus personnel regarding curriculum, assessment, and instruction planning and implementation
- Assist LifePlus schools in the development, implementation, evaluation and revision of shared EC–12 curriculum as well as advice on budgets
- Facilitate and LifePlus curriculum-related teams or committees
- Maintain and safely share curriculum and PD documents and curriculum-related resources
- Maintains and updates a list of experts for training and support
- Organize the LifePlus Conferences
- Serves as point person for LifePlus University Partnerships
- Completes other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications and requirements
Has a Master’s Degree in education administration and 5 years experience in teaching and 3 years in leadership. Is able to work with sensitivity to unique and multicultural perspectives. Understands standards-based learning. Is detail orientated and able to synthesize information and turn it into practical steps. Is able to plan, organize, execute and evaluate in a broad range of educational settings, including strategic planning, teacher development and curricular development.
