Application Process

Required Documents for Working in China

I. Passport

A scanned copy of your valid passport page (If there are any family members accompanied, provide theirs as well.)

II. Resume (both in English and in Chinese)

Resume should include:

1. Education background (when, where, and which school(s) you attend (ed), including the highest degree you have achieved)

2. Work experience (If any, include when, where and what position.)

3. Achievements (If any, include when, where, and what awards)

4. Training Experience (If any, provide a scanned copy of certification)

5. Volunteer Experience (If any, state when and where).

III. Proof of related work qualifications (If any, state your position, work duration, projects you have participated in, please include the employer’s contact information and his/her signature.)

IV. Scanned certificate of the highest diploma and any certification proving your related abilities and skills (e.g. TESOL/TEFL certificate)

V. Scanned certificate of health examination for international travelers (If there are any family members accompanied, provide theirs as well.)

VI. Criminal record check (Had you worked in China for over 6 months, extra documentation should be provided: a criminal record check from China, scanned copy of previous Chinese visa, and scanned copy of the passport page with border entrance stamps)

VII. Recent passport standard photo (Electronic)

VIII. Family members accompanied (If any, provide a scanned copy of any documentation proving the relationship)

IX. If your documentation is approved, you will sign an employment contract with the University.

Work Load

Around 16 classes per week. You are also expected to attend some extracurricular activities (e.g. Language corners).

Benefits:

I. Salary is paid monthly and determined by applicant’s degree held (includes paid vacation time upon completion of contract).

II. Comprehensive medical insurance: includes accident injury, critical illness, inpatient and outpatient charges (1380 RMB/year).

III. Reimbursement of Residence Permit application fee (400 RMB/year)

IV. Accommodations: Two-room apartment (furniture, water, power and internet provided free of charge).

V. Foreign faculty working over one contract year and with a successful renewal get travel reimbursement (6000 RMB/year for American and European countries and 3000 RMB/year for Asian countries).
