As AsPac Finance Manager, BP Pulse you will be a key member of the AsPac Finance team and will be an integral part of growing BP Pulse. In this role, you will be accountable for the full suite of Finance activities for Electrification in AsPac and will support BP’s growth agenda, creating fit for purpose financial processes working with central and in-country C&P Finance, ARC, PPM teams and in coordination with GBS. The main scope of this role will be our China business, however you should expect to work within the Australia and New Zealand business on similar activities as well.

This key finance role based in China will act as a go to finance contact to support and coordinate when required all China business finance activities including integrating with other in-country functions (e.g. Tax, Legal, Treasury, IT&S, GBS etc.) as we develop and implement new business opportunities. This role will sit on the leadership team of both the ANZ business and the China EV Business.

Key accountabilities

  • This key finance role will act as a go to China Finance Contact to support and coordinate when required all business finance activities including integrating with other in-country functions (e.g. Tax, Legal, Treasury, IT&S, GBS etc.) as we develop and implement new business opportunities.
  • Support, test and review GFO assumptions with PPM across AsPac.
  • Accountability for translating business strategy into business plans that focus on activities and financial outcomes. This includes input, review and feedback into economic evaluations for investment projects.
  • Ensuring a fit for purpose EFM financial process is followed for BP Pulse across various electrification activities in AsPac (including new business models).
  • End to end contract review and functional assurance notes completion (Including OA system inputs and recommendations to AsPac Finance Lead)
  • Support in-year financial performance management processes and proactively supporting the business to drive performance delivery.
  • Lead MPR content delivery.
  • Responsible for being the in Country contact for Tax Authority and Banking purposes (and other groups when required)

Essential Education:

  • Accounting qualification (ACA / ACCA / CPA or equivalent)

  • Strong influencing, networking and relationship building skills to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders both within Finance and across the business.
