The Faculty of Education invites applications for the position of Full/Associate/Assistant Professor in Educational Testing, Assessment and Evaluation.
The Faculty of Education offers Bachelor, Master, and Ph.D. programmes in various areas of education. Details about the Faculty of Education are available at https://www.um.edu.mo/fed/. The Faculty of Education strives to become a leading institution for teacher education and educational research in Macao, the Greater China Region, and beyond.
Applicants should have (a) a doctoral degree in Educational Testing, Assessment and Evaluation or related areas (e.g., data science in education); (b) a clearly defined research agenda as shown by publication records and research activities; (c) experiences in conducting large-scale international sampled surveys (PISA, TIMSS, PIRLS, TALIS, PIAAC, etc.). The appointment at the rank of Full Professor or Associate Professor depends on qualification and achievements of the applicant, such as established international excellence in research and scholarship with a proven record of publications in high caliber international journals (e.g., SSCI or SCI indexed journals), national monitoring of academic performance in key school subject areas, and/or assessment of contemporary 21st century skills from a comparative education perspective. Priority consideration will be given to those with competence in publishing top journal articles in the above areas.
The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2024.
A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,210,300 (approximately USD149,420) for the position of Full Professor, MOP1,019,200 (approximately USD125,830) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP828,100 (approximately USD102,230) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
