To strengthen the Chambers Government Affairs team, we offer an internship position at the Chamber’s Beijing office. We offer regular training, an international working environment and an insight into the working style of multinational companies.

The current intern position will support Chamber’s business managers in the Energy, Carbon Market, SME, Standards and Conformity Assessment Working Groups, and tasks related to European Affairs

Specific Duties

– Assist with the drafting of the annual Position Paper and the monthly industry specific newsletters;

– Assist with the setting up and conducting of working group meetings, including managing invitations, registrations, meeting minutes and other logistical work;

– Assist with the liaison between working group members and/or government authorities;

– Collect and collate member comments on legislation drafts in response to calls for comments;

– Track lobby activities;

– Help with English-Chinese translation and occasional oral interpretation;

-Other works designated by the business managers.

**The internship presents an opportunity to gain valuable experience within the areas that the Chamber is involved in, including advocacy, events and organizing working group meetings with European industry.

Skills & experience

– University student, bachelor of third year or above. Graduate student is preferred.

-Major: English, Economy, Business, Public Policy, International Relations, or relevant social science degrees are preferred;

-Excellent command of spoken and written English and Mandarin;

-Good communication skills;

-Self-motivated, independent working style;

-Previous work experience is an advantage.

 Duration: minimum 3 days per week, 6 months (offline)

Start: December 2022

Salary: Pre-tax 100 RMB/day;
