About Boeing in China

Boeing has a long-standing partnership with China spanning more than 47 years. Today, more than 50 percent of all commercial jetliners operating in China are Boeing airplanes and China has a component role on every current Boeing commercial airplane model—the 737, 747, 767, 777 and 787 Dreamliner.

We have more than 6,500 employees throughout China, including at three wholly owned subsidiaries and four joint ventures. We are the largest international customer of China’s commercial aviation manufacturing industry, and the company forecasts that over the next 20 years, China will be Boeing’s largest airplane customer.

We offer many possible career paths in China. The Boeing China headquarters is located in Beijing. We also have a large presence in Tianjin at Boeing Tianjin Composite Co., Ltd., which manufactures interior parts and composite structures for commercial airplanes; in Shanghai at Boeing Shanghai Aviation Service Co., Ltd., which is a commercial airplane maintenance, repair, upgrade and passenger-to-freighter conversion center, and Boeing Shanghai Aviation Flight Training Co. Ltd., a training campus for pilots, maintenance technicians and other aviation professionals; and in Zhoushan at the 737 Completion & Delivery Center, which completes painting and interior-installation work on the 737 family of jets and is the first of its kind outside the United States.
