Learning Enhancement Teacher, International Stream Job Outline

Contract Term: Two years renewable from mid-August 2024

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Enhancement Teacher at FIS. We are seeking an inspirational and energetic person to teach in the Secondary school. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of academic success, innovation and development throughout their career.

This is a period of growth for the Secondary section of the International Stream, with extra classes due to join us from August 2024. As a result of this growth we are seeking a Learning Enhancement Teacher who can support and assist students with specific needs. The ability to be able to offer some support for EAL would be an advantage.

We are seeking a teacher who will:

●      Have a deep knowledge of international curriculum including  IGCSE and IB, with IMYC or MYP experience an advantage

●     Experience of supporting students with specific needs, including the more able.

●    Prepare IEPs to support individual students

●    Liaise with school staff, families and external organisations to support students with IEPs

●    Work with exam teams and exam boards to ensure exclusive access arrangements are properly implemented.

●      Be well qualified with an internationally accepted degree and a teaching qualification.

●      Be a dynamic, forward-looking professional with the experience and skills to contribute to the faculty;

●      Be an outstanding teacher who is passionate about learning and teaching and sets high expectations for every student;

●      Be able to work collaboratively with a team of teachers

●      Be internationally-minded and culturally sensitive;

●      Be committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement;
