On PayPal’s Global AI and Data science team, you will work to create the infrastructure that will be used by world-class analysts and engineers to power some of the world’s most sophisticated models at huge scale that help users get better service, be protected from fraud, and create commerce that knows no borders

Responsibilities:

• Software Architect at the AI and Data infrastructure PM team

• Define product technical vision, technologies, design, KPI’s for your area

• Educate and mentor team members for engineering best practices, technologies and capabilities

• Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with customer and partner teams

• Align product implementation according to roadmap and strategy

• Bring “outside view” of current and future technologies to teams

• Owns product design that aligns with defined outcomes to the business

• Define and maintain long term technical product vision

• Works with engineering managers, product leads

• Effectively communicate strategies & trade-offs up to senior leaders and down to development teams 

Skillset:

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills with ability to state things simply and persuasively for different audiences

• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to influence others both inside and outside of the organization, and to lead without authority

• Understanding of modern software development lifecycle

• Understanding of software and cloud service financial mechanics

• Experience in large organizations including managing dependencies across organizations and business units.

• Author or provide support for quality product requirement specifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree. Computer Science / Engineering preferred

• Master of Science or MBA is a plus

• Experience in Risk or Financial Services is a plus
