 Primary Physical Education (PE) Teacher Post due to expansion

●       Full-time 27 hours per week

●       Starting mid-August 2024

●       Work with our existing PE teacher to form a new IS Primary PE team across campuses.

 

International Stream Job Outline

 

Due to the continued expansion and growth of our school, an exciting opportunity has arisen to teach in the International Primary at FIS. We are seeking inspirational and energetic primary PE teacher to potentially teach across our Tseung Kwan O (TKO), Jardine’s Lookout (JL), or Chai Wan (CW) campuses in the International Primary Stream. You will work alongside our existing PE teacher to deliver the PE curriculum. The successful candidates must have a proven track record of academic success, innovation and development throughout their career.

We are seeking teachers who will:

●      Have knowledge, experience and understanding of the English National Curriculum and/or the Early Years Foundation Stage

●      Hopefully have some knowledge or experience of the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) /International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC);

●      Be a holder of an internationally recognised degree and teaching qualification;

●       Have a deep knowledge of international best practice, nationally recognised sporting governing bodies and other relevant agencies’ programmes, policies, guidance and advice.

●      Be able to teach Primary Physical Education (early years – year 6) to the highest possible standard, as agreed with the head of the international stream, within the framework of the curriculum and whole school policies and requirements.

●      Be able to ensure that the quality of teaching and learning in lessons is the highest possible.

●      Be able to identify and adopt the most effective teaching approaches for Primary PE and keep abreast of contemporary educational issues.

●      Be a dynamic, forward-looking professional with the experience and skills to contribute to the primary school;

●      Be an outstanding teacher who is passionate about learning and teaching and sets high expectations for every student;

●      Be able to work collaboratively with a team of teachers;

●      Be internationally minded and culturally sensitive;

●      Be committed to fostering a culture of continuous improvement; 

●      Experience/knowledge of bilingual teaching and learning;

●      Basic knowledge of French would be an advantage;
