Three postdoctoral positions are available in lab of Professor H. Michael Shepard (https://hmichaelshepardphd.org) at the Frontiers in Therapeutics Research Center, in the Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine-Ruijin Hospital. Our center leverages Ruijin Hospital’s abundant medical resources and robust research capabilities to focus on cutting-edge therapeutic research for cancer, inflammation, and metabolic diseases. We are committed to driving innovation in treatment paradigms. Our multidisciplinary team of collaborators is supported by state-of-the-art research facilities and experimental platforms, ensuring a solid foundation for high-level scientific research.
We are seeking ambitious and motivated scientists with a PhD in life sciences. The successful candidates will lead the following projects 1). Liposomal nanoparticle-mediated tumor suppressor gene therapy (lentivirus, ivt-mRNA) for hematologic cancers, 2). PROTACs targeting intracellular kinases and 3). Proteomics-guided biomarker discovery. This work will involve collaborations with other laboratories at Ruijin Hospital with expertise in structural biology and expertise in hematologic malignancies, and with international research institutions.
Special attention will be directed toward candidates with demonstrated experience in:
• Targeted delivery of liposomal nanoparticles (LNPs) with lentivirus or mRNA as cargo
• The design of molecular degraders (PROTACS)
• Development of biomarkers to guide drug discovery and product development
